Nahla Village (Fatehabad) Flood Relief Aid by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj

2000 Acres Submerged: How Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Saved Nahla Village Farmers from Ruin

The village of Nahla, located in Tehsil Bhuna, was severely affected by floods, with approximately 2,000 to 2,500 acres of farmland submerged under 4 to 5 feet of water, and about 30% of the village's residential area still under water. This catastrophic situation forced families to evacuate their homes and put the upcoming crop season at risk.

The Urgent Request and Immediate Response

After finding no sufficient help from government administration, the Sarpanch and village Panchayat members traveled to the trust's office of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj to submit an urgent written request. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj ordered immediate relief efforts for the village and ordered His followers to fulfill the villager's request as soon as possible.

The village's request for dewatering equipment included:

  • 15,400 feet of 8-inch pipeline
  • Two high-power submersible motors (one 15 HP and one 20 HP)
  • 600 feet of electrical cable, along with all necessary starters, valves, and fittings
  • Two submersible pumps for clean drinking water

The relief material, estimated to be worth around ₹25 lakhs by the Sarpanch, was delivered to the village within 24 hours of the request being made. The Sarpanch specifically praised the high quality of the equipment, including Kirloskar motors.

A Pledge of Accountability

Alongside the equipment, the trust delivered a "Special Request" letter, which was read to the entire Panchayat. The letter stated that while Sant Rampal Ji was providing all the necessary aid (at a great cost), the village must work diligently to remove the water in time for the next crop.

The letter warned that if the villagers failed to do so, the trust would not provide any future aid during calamities, emphasizing that the entire effort is to save the livelihood of the farmers.

The Sarpanch accepted this condition, signed the letter, and gave his assurance to the trust and Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj that they would fully drain the water within 10 days and prepare the land for the next harvest.

The villagers expressed profound gratitude for the help, noting that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj's trust is doing work that "no man can do" and that they are "very happy" now that they have the means to save their crops and homes.
